What comes to my mind when I hear the word “Cottage” is a small home that is comfortable and cozy, usually decorated in pastels or similar feminine tones. I picture sunlight streaming through the windows, shining on shelves filled with books and children playing happily on the floor while Mom cooks lunch. While I realize this is quite the romanticized viewpoint, it is precisely this lovely vision of home that I strive to create. The feeling of warmth, belonging and contentment is what truly makes a house into a home.
Home-Making brings warmth and connection. Women have a special touch they impart on their home, whether they work outside it or not. This, however, is a challenging task. Having the right tools and proper mindset is essential. But fear not, these are learnable skills available to anyone.
